Gorgeous Mid-Century Modern 1966 Cari Zalloni Candleholder for Steuler Keramik Continua series

Candlestick No. 150/25 by Steuler, an Op Art classic:

Designed in 1966 by Cari Zalloni for Steuler Keramik W.-Germany – from Steuler's "Continua" series – geometrical Op Art-shape – glossy coral red glaze – West-German Mid Century pottery – for one dinner candle or one block candle.

Signature: An ST monogram is embossed on the bottom. The word Germany is not used. Stickers always contain an ST monogram. Until the early 1960s, Steuler produced with reddish clay and then they switched to white clay. This was because there was more and more demand in the 60s and 70s.

A collectable eye-catcher.

Manufacturer: Steuler Industriewerke GmbH, Höhr-Grenzhausen/W.-Germany.
Artist/Design: Cari Zalloni (1937-2012).
Material: Ceramic, glaze.
Marked under the base: Form number "150/25" and Steuler company mark (hardly readable under the thick glaze).
Measures (approx.): Height 25,0 cm diameter 12 cm at widest point.

Condition: Excellent with only minor traces of wear. (one very small chip of paint on inner rim of candle portion see pics)
